How to get a Russian visa
To get a Russian visa you need an official invitation, then you submit it with your passport, a photo, insurance and the application form at a Russian consulate. The invitation is the part we handle — tourist invitations are delivered in about 5 minutes from $19.
- 1
Order your invitation
Order your visa invitation (tourist voucher) online. Your PDF arrives by email in about 5 minutes.
- 2
Find your consulate
Locate the nearest Russian consulate or visa centre that serves your country of citizenship.
- 3
Prepare your documents
Gather your invitation, passport (valid 6+ months with 2 blank pages), a 3.5×4.5 cm photo, insurance and the consular fee.
- 4
Complete the application form
Fill in the official visa application form online, print it and sign it.
- 5
Submit at the consulate
Submit your application at the consulate or visa centre. Processing usually takes 5–10 working days.
Why the invitation matters most
Of all the steps, the invitation is the one travellers find confusing — it must be issued by a Russian organisation registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We are a licensed operator, so our invitations are accepted at every consulate. The remaining steps are a standard consular process you complete yourself.
